Chet Chetsandtikhun

Chet had more than 10 years with successful track records in marketing, notably in bringing new products to the market. He started his marketing career in Leo Burnett in 1986 by winning three new business pitches, leading to the launch of Yoplait Yogurt and the repositioning of Singha Gold Beer and Singer Thailand.

He became Marketing Manger at Jebsen & Jessen Thailand for Dancall mobile telephone company in 1998.  The brand later became the market leader in the NMT system, with market share ahead of much larger competitors like Nokia and Ericsson.

He later joined the newly-established subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard in Thailand to lead the Computer Sales Organization to established a network of systems integrators and value-added resellers for the large enterprise systems and expand the distribution network for PC and peripheral products.

His career in satellite television and new media started in 1995 when multi-channel television and Internet first arrived in Thailand.  He spent 7 years working in the emerging satellite television and Internet businesses in Thailand and in a number of Asian countries with the Thailand-based M. Group and, later with South African-based MIH Group.

As Vice President, Development of the MIH Group, he worked on feasibility studies for pay-television projects in the Philippines and Sri Lanka, and the establishment of M-Web Thailand, an Internet subsidiary. At M-Web, he managed a number of Internet projects, including implementation of an Internet content management system, e-commerce gateway, and a search engine.

Chet holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration from Thammasat University.
