A 45-second TV commercial, “Volunteer Spirit” went on air on 1 July 2008 to create awareness about the Red Bull Sprit CSR Program and to attract volunteers to join in future activities. Siamentis is the creative agency and Mustard Films is the product house responsible for the production of the TVC.
The core idea of the film is to present past and future volunteer activities, and to point out that there are many types of volunteering activities that can suit each individual’s availability and personal interests. The film ends with a question “How much time do you have?”, and invites the audience to visit www.redbullspirit.org to find out more about the program and to become a volunteer.
The message of the TVC also promotes the idea of volunteer spirit – a quality which has become increasingly important for the Thai society.
The first week of broadcasting saw a tenfold increase of traffic to the Red Bull Sprit website, leading to a big increase in membership and volunteer applications. Application to volunteer in the Special Olympics game in July was closed within a few days. Responses from the media and volunteers posted proved to be very rewarding and encouraging for our team and all the people involved in the program.
Details of the program and volunteer activities could be found at www.redbullspirit.org
